Ssserendipity, 2023
Inspired by Nam June Paik’s “TV Buddha” (1974) video sculpture, Ssserendipity is a structuralist video piece that updates the spiritualist conversation for the new age; a time-based meditation that investigates altered states, actualizing clairvoyant energy, and the function of the private ritual: exploring the relationship between the shadow self and the conscious ‘present’ self, as a parallel to broader concepts pertaining to the intersection of enlightenment and technology.
